Working Holiday Activities

 

New Zealand is a magic holiday travel destination with something for every individual:

Punchbowl can assist you with:

  • Your Visa Application. Contact us and we can help you registering on-line in Immigration New Zealand website. Be aware that certain countries have a limited quota and the earlier you apply, the best possibilities you get a visa.
  • Finding low cost accommodation. We will have on-site backpacker
    type accommodation for a limited number.

  • Finding on-going winter work in the South Island Ski resorts towns

Punchbowl has a limit on employee numbers but can place suitable additional applicants through our extensive Kiwifruit industry network.

 

We require that successful applicants must make a minimum commitment to work the 3 months April May June harvest season at Punchbowl. 

 

 

 

Work Visa Application and Rules

 

Punchbowl is able to employ foreign workers under the Working Holiday Visa/Permit.

 

Working Holiday Scheme (WHS)

    • Depending on the country of origin applicants can travel to New Zealand for up to 12 months on holiday and be permitted to work while visiting.
    • Applicants can only work for an individual employer for 3 months.

    • Special provisions in the WHS mean that if you work for 3 months in the fruit industry then you will be entitled to extend your 12 month WHS Visa out to 15 months.
       
    • Applicants must be between the age of 18-30 years.
       
    • Applicants can only apply once in a life time.
